Beach Glass (Sea Glass) can be found on the beach all over the world, and originates as broken glass pieces rolled and tumbled in the ocean for years until all of their edges are rounded off and have a frosted appearance.

A couple of months ago Asahi Shinbun (Japanese Newspaper) talked about Beach Money on their paper (Here is the article). Somehow a lot of people in Taiwan read the article through the web (Here is the article in Taiwanese), and I started receiving a lot of emails and Facebook friend requests especially from The Penghu Island in Taiwan.
I’m back from 3 days trip to Yoron Island, the furthest south of Kagoshima Prefecture. It was about 5 hours flight from Tokyo to Yoron Island with one transfer at Naha airport in Okinawa.

I don’t usually show the prize in advance, but this time is special. I really wish I could keep the prize for myself! This is how I feel every time I see the prize before the contest begins, though.
By using the knowledge of natural soap from my ex-work place Ganko Hompo (natural detergent maker in Chigasaki), I held a quick natural detergent workshop at Spice Dog in Shimoda city.
Come join at Tsujido Local Market on Sunday, Oct 9th. Muginami Bakery, One of the original Beach Money shops and also our close friend will be there. Beach Cleanup event will be held by Surf Rider Foundation Japan on the same day as well.
