Mr Tachikawa’s art exhibit

My BeachMoney friend Mr Tachikawa at LCF is going to have an exhibit in Yuigahama, Kamakura. He is a professional jewelry artist who loves the ocean and supports BeachMoney in many ways. His art work has been presented to the winner of our beach glass contest many times, and you will find more of his beach glass arts at the exhibit.

A fisherman joined BeachMoney!

Mr. Hirayama, a local fisherman in Minami Izu town joined BeachMoney and started supporting the MyLittlePocket program. At Daigo Maru if you bring a piece of beach glass (Any color is accepted. The piece needs to be well rounded and bigger than a circle of 3cm diameter.) which you find during your beach clean up, you will get a freshly caught fish for exchange.

BeachMoney was on a TV program called “EARTH Lab” (TBS)

TBS program “Earth Lab” focused on BeachMoney on this Saturday, Dec 24th, 2016. The TV crew joined us at the Enoshima Aquarium beach clean up and the 8th beach glass contest on Nov 20th as we mentioned in the previous post.

On this Christmas Eve night I will be in the TV program called “EARTH Lab “on BS TBS (Start at 11:24pm, Saturday on December 24th on air).

Beach Cleanup with Minami-Izu town officials

BeachMoney started being recognized by many people in Minami Izu area. The other day I had a chance to talk about BeachMoney with young city officials while we were doing beach clean up at Ounohama beach. We also talked about the future of our town and I suggested that we should be more appealing how good we take care of our nature.

Students’ BeachMoney presentation at Higashi Elementary School

I went to see a classroom presentation at Higashi Elementary School in Minami Izu. A couple months ago the 3rd grade students (25 total) joined my 2-day BeachMoney workshop and that experience became their presentation topic this time.

BeachMoney shop in Taiwan

I received photos from our Japanese friend who is supporting BeachMoney in Taiwan. So far we have 2 BeachMoney shops in Taiwan, 花梨客棧(guesthouse) and 鹹水號(café&gallery). Photos of their big smiles made me want to jump on the airplane to visit them right away!
